The time to join a Small Group is now!

Thursday, September 6, 2007

There is no reason not to join a Small Group in the Doral Campus. We have 14 Small Groups starting on the week of September 15th. This is also the week we kick off “mynakedpastor.com” series. I want each of you to make an extra effort to come to church this weekend and meet those who will be leading these groups. There is a group for everyone regardless of what your age or marital status. Here a short list for your consideration:

Small Group Facilitators:
Couples: Robert and Maria Selecky, Roman and Miriam Iselin, Peter and Mirna Melo, Michael and Connie Fernandez, and Cesar and Tainna Tapanes
Singles: Francisco Sastre and Julieta Reyes
College: Kyle Johnson and Ana Sanchez
Ladies: Sara Reyes, Silvia Pastor (Spanish)
Coed: Alejandro and Silvia Meza, Valois Colmenares (Spanish), Angela Sanchez (Spanish), David and Janell Ray (Winter Park, FL)

Like I said, there is a small group for you. These leaders will be available this weekend after each service to get to meet you. Please stop by and say hello and sign up to participate starting the week of 9/15.

When most people think about diversity, they think about cultural and ethnic differences. How about those of us with physical disabilities? I use a wheelchair due to a spinal cord injury, which puts me in a whole other diverse group of people! Hispanic, African American, Jamaican, Chinese, disabled....it doesn't matter. We are all human beings God put here - no one better than an other. We may be different on the outside, but we all have the same hopes, dreams, fears. Next time you see someone who is 'different' than you, don't turn away...embrace that person with a smile and a hello. It's a small start, but it's a beginning.

Good morning Brother & Pastor Igor
I really enjoyed your inspired devotional on day 3 of Fish Food. I walk away with these thoughts and I pray and hope it helps others. One of the reasons I fight is because I have been pushed to the limit and there is no other way out but fighting. But a positive reason to fight for is for peace, justice and sometimes respect the last one not really strong argument but never the less it is there (naked thought). As for what Christ like attitude can be exibited to create oneness with others is: To forgive and stand back and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what the issue really is because there are motives and emotions behind every conflict and fight and by doing this it gives us an opportunity to pray and intercede for your opponent in the fight and if not remember W.W.J.D..
May God Bless You and keep you and may his grace, love and peace shine upon you and your family.
Sincerely
Joel Milian
